On 4 November 2025, we hosted the Academia–Society & Community Impact conference at the Israel Center for Addiction, an academic–clinical center affiliated with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem that serves as a model for research, treatment, teaching, and academic engagement with community life.

The programme included best practices, diverse perspectives, and roundtable discussions with practitioners ands takeholders from colleges and universities across Israel, examining how higher education can deepen its connections with society and local communities.
