eTwinning Across Cultures: Collaborative Heritage Education
Objectives
Our project aims to enhance cultural heritage education via eTwinning with digital tools. Our objectives are to (1) develop inter-/transdisciplinary eTwinning project kits on cultural heritage for all education levels, (2) host eTwinning Seminars for student-created project kits, (3) trial and evaluate these kits in primary and secondary schools, (4) offer teacher webinars on eTwinning, (5) create immersive virtual learning spaces with 3D VR technology to be included in the kits.
Activities
We will
(1) facilitate project-based virtual exchange/COIL seminars for teacher students on the eTwinning platform,
(2) pilot eTwinning project kits within school classrooms during school placements,
(3) offer webinars for in-service teachers on leveraging eTwinning for cultural heritage education,
(4) develop 3D VR environments to enable immersive virtual visits and explorations of cultural sites, providing students with access to cultural heritage experiences in remote locations.
Impact
(1) Development of 5 eTwinning project kits by teacher educators and 25 eTwinning project kits by teacher students during eTwinning seminars, which will be uploaded to the European School and Education Platform as OERs.
(2) Establishment of 10 VR environments (2 per institution) showcasing both renowned and local cultural heritage sites, utilizing platforms like CoSpaces and Thinglink.
(3) A set of min 10 webinars on eTwinning on different levels (+materials) in all partner languages and English
