Hosting European Interns
ErasmusIntern.org is a dynamic web platform designed to connect companies, non-governmental organizations, and institutions with students seeking international internship opportunities. As part of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering cultural understanding and self-development, ErasmusIntern.org plays a crucial role in enhancing the accessibility and quality of international internships. The platform is supported by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Commission, aiming to increase awareness and improve the availability of such opportunities for young people.
For Israeli organizations, ErasmusIntern.org offers a strategic advantage in accessing a diverse pool of talented students, primarily from Europe, who are eager to gain international experience. By posting internship vacancies on the platform, Israeli companies can attract skilled candidates, enhancing their global presence and fostering cross-cultural exchange.
The platform allows organizations to create recruiter profiles and post internship opportunities for free, offering visibility to thousands of motivated students who are part of the ESN network. This connection not only helps fill internship positions with competent individuals but also supports the development of a future workforce of internationally minded, skilled professionals.
Additionally, the Digital Opportunity Traineeships (DOTs) are part of this initiative, offering another valuable option for organizations. These EU-funded traineeships help companies fill vacancies with digitally competent candidates, addressing the growing demand for digital skills across all sectors, not just within ICT. By participating in DOTs, Israeli organizations can benefit from accessing a pool of candidates equipped with essential digital skills, further enhancing their operational capabilities and innovation potential.

Essential Q&A for Israeli Organizations
What is ErasmusIntern.org and how does it work?
ErasmusIntern.org is a free platform where companies, non-governmental organizations, and other institutions can post their internship offers. The Erasmus Student Network promotes the platform among its members, ensuring a constant pool of talented students looking for internships. You can easily create a recruiter profile on the website and post all your available internship opportunities there.
How do I publish an internship offer on your platform? Once your account as a recruiter has been verified by the ErasmusIntern team, you can publish internship offers on the platform. Simply log in, open the menu in the top-right corner, and select the "Add Internship" option to create and publish your offer.
Is it free to publish an internship?
Yes. There are no costs related to using the platform. Any number of internships offers can be placed, and any number of applications can be reviewed at no cost. In most cases, the intern will need to sign a Learning Agreement with their university and your company. It is the intern's responsibility to submit this document through the Office of International Relations of their university. You must also sign any legal documents required according to your country's work regulations. You can contact the National Agency of your country if you have doubts about that.
I have an available position; how do I get an intern?
After publishing your internship offer on ErasmusIntern.org, students can apply directly through the platform. You will receive applications from interested candidates, which you can then review and select from.
Where can I see all the applications my internship offer has received? Once your internship is published and visible, interns can apply. You will receive an email for each application if you opt to receive notifications when creating the internship offer. More details about the application process can be found in the FAQ section.
How soon after publishing an offer can I expect to host an intern?
The exact starting date of the internship is defined between the receiving institution and the selected student. If the student is benefiting from an Erasmus+ Traineeship grant, you may need to allow time for administrative processes, as the student's university may have specific timeframes for grant admissions.
Do we need to be in direct contact with the University of the selected student?
Not necessarily. The selected student should provide all the necessary information to conduct the internship. If needed, students can approach their university's Erasmus+ contact persons for more information.
What is a Digital Opportunity Traineeship?
A Digital Opportunity Traineeship (DOT) is an EU-funded training initiative aimed at helping companies fill vacancies with digitally competent candidates. Digital skills are increasingly required across all sectors, not just in ICT. For more information on eligibility and details, you can visit the dedicated page on DOTs.
Can I charge a fee to the interns?
No. It goes against our Terms and Privacy Policy for recruiters to ask for any fee from interns when applying for an internship. If we detect or receive reports of such activities, the account(s) involved will be banned, and all internships within those accounts will be unpublished without further notice.
Can I hire an intern that is not eligible to participate in the Erasmus+ Programme?
Yes, you are welcome to hire an intern even if they are not eligibleto participate in the Erasmus+ Programme. However, you need to ensure that the students have the necessary support (e.g., visa and other permits) or seek alternative funding sources (if the internship is unpaid) to conduct the internship. The ErasmusIntern.org platform cannot provide support for these matters.
