Online Session DEI Policy in Higher Education July 2025

On July 3–4, 2025, the National Erasmus+ Office hosted Prof. Moris Triventi, a Professor of Sociology at the University of Milan and a leading expert on educational inequality and policy evaluation.

The two-day visit included a consultation session with representatives from two Israeli higher education institutions, focused on global perspectives and best practices for reducing inequality in academia.

Prof. Triventi also led two working sessions with the Steering Committee appointed by the Council for Higher Education, which is currently developing a new national policy on educational equality. Discussions centered on European policy models, key frameworks, and comparative insights relevant to the Israeli context.

The second day concluded with a dialogue between Prof. Triventi and Israeli stakeholders on how lessons from Europe can support efforts to promote inclusion and remove structural barriers in higher education.

The event underscored the importance of international collaboration and demonstrated how European expertise and Erasmus+ partnerships can contribute to more equitable higher education systems.
