Tempus
TEMPUS was a European Union funded programme which supported the modernization of higher education in the EU’s neighboring countries in the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, North Africa and the Middle East. TEMPUS was established in 1990 by the European Commission. Four phases of Tempus were completed, with each phase lasting 6 years.
The programme came to an end on December 31, 2013. Numerous projects selected in the last calls for proposals of the Tempus programme (the 4th, 5th and 6th calls for proposals) are still active and will finish their activities at the end of their grant agreement.
