Vocational Education Training (VET)
Vocational Education and Training (VET) prepares people for work and develops citizens' skills to remain employable and respond to the needs of the economy (from the European Education Area site).

Vocational education and training is a key priority of the 2021-2027 Erasmus+ program, and since 2021, Israeli organizations have been able to participate in Capacity Building (CB) projects in the field of VET.
Each project requires a consortium of organizations from EU Member States and Associated Countries and from a Third Country Not Associated to the Program, such as Israel. The full list and classification of countries can be found here.
Organizations from a variety of fields and types, such as government bodies, NGOs, and higher education institutions (HEIs), can be partners in a consortium to build a project as long as one of the partners is a VET provider. The full details can be found in the Erasmus+ Programme Guide.
To learn more about the opportunities available to Israeli organizations, we invite you to look at two info events the Israeli National Erasmus+ Office (NEO) held on the topic:
a) Virtual Cluster for the Israeli VET Community, June 2022 (Hebrew)
b) Higher Education-VET Info Day, December 2023 (English and Hebrew), an updated presentation for 2024 is available here.
These events include information on Erasmus+ projects and case studies, partner search tools and more.
